Six to Start is based in London, with associates in New York and Toronto. We create games, apps, and transmedia experiences for clients in the UK and overseas.
What We Do
We combine the emotional power of world-class storytelling with next-generation media to make unforgettable games and experiences. Our award-winning online and mobile games help market and promote new products and shows, and our original transmedia and alternate reality games engage millions of people in new ways.
We’ve created transmedia experiences for shows like Misfits and Spooks: Code 9, playful storytelling experiences like We Tell Stories, Smokescreen and Young Bond: The Shadow War, and we’ve consulted on storytelling and play for the BBC, Disney, CBS Interactive, and Microsoft XBox.
Storytelling and Play
Great storytelling and great gameplay is at the heart of what we do. Storytelling is a huge part of the world’s culture, and great stories have always had the ability to move and excite us, whatever the medium. Play means a lot to us, too. We draw inspiration from video games, boardgames, casual games and playful applications and services.
Play helps us learn, grow and deal with new experiences – and when play and storytelling are combined, they give us the opportunity to deeply engage with our audience and get them to do things – as a large single group, or individually.
We use new platforms and technologies to combine storytelling and play to bring experiences to wherever people are – the web, mobile, TV, and in the real world.
